Annaleigh Reno is officially all in. The 22-year-old Chicago native, who is represented by Mark Spiegler’s agency Spiegler Girls, sat down with AVN at the AVN Summer Social in West Hollywood to talk about how she got here, and the story starts in a college classroom.
Reno was working toward a bachelor’s degree in environmental science when she grew disillusioned with companies that claimed to be green but weren’t living up to it. She started rethinking her future, researched the adult industry online, and after flying out to shoot her first scenes she knew California was where she needed to be.
A recommendation to agent Mark Spiegler last summer opened the door, and bookings followed. There was just one catch: she still had a degree to finish. Reno told AVN that heading back to Chicago after tasting her dream job was tough, but she did it. Now she’s back in Los Angeles with her diploma and a fresh commitment to her career. “I’m in it for the love of the game,” she said.
She has already worked with Blacked, Vixen, Nubiles, Bang!, Devil’s Film, Naughty America and Nookies, and she has a wish list too, naming Bellesa, Owen Gray and Deep Lush as brands she admires for making content with women in mind. Her advice for newcomers is refreshingly practical: show up on time, stay professional and be kind to everyone on set.
Her big dream? An AVN Award nomination, and one day following in Casey Calvert’s footsteps by performing and directing, then moving behind the camera full time. Off set, Reno keeps centered with a vegan diet, yoga and pilates, a lifestyle rooted in the love of nature that first drew her to environmental science.
